So for those who yet to figure it out - Zach and I are no longer posting on Xanga. Sad times. Xanga was good to us.

And for the news you all have been waiting for - we have updated our website!! We have totally redesigned it, added video, and even have an in depth about section - baby photos and all, my friends!

We'll Be Home for Christmas...

Rather often Zach and I get emails (or FaceBook messages :) of Michigan people asking us when we will be in town next so we can do a shoot of their family, kids, friends, or we have some couples who had really horrible wedding photos and want to get dressed up again and get some awesome new shots.

Well never fear, Michiganders! Zach and I are coming home to Michigan for Christmas and we are working it into our time at home to be available to schedule in some Lifestyle Sessions.

These Lifestyle shoots are $1,000 and you normally receive:

Anywhere from 2-3 hours of hanging/shooting time… sometimes more
Both Zach and Jody shooting
Personal online viewing and ordering gallery
Non-stuffy, non-cheesy, non-generic, high quality photos that really capture your family

However, in honor of Christmas we are going to include an 8x12 Gallery Wrapped Canvas Print (*continue with blog to see what this exactly is) with your Lifestyle Session. We might even shoot you a few web sized photos to email around to family or put online and brag about your kids :)

Of course, there are many other options of items you can additionally order (albums, Christmas cards, prints, digital images, etc.)…

*Note: You do not have to be located in Michigan or set up your shoot around Christmas to take part on what we are offering. You can schedule your session now in preparation for Christmas cards, gifts, etc. :)

A quick photo update on what we have been up to since we have last blogged (well, not everything, but a few highlights!):

Brandon & Carey's engagment photos - what a great couple they are :)

Chad & Lynse! Got married in Alabama. Was a totally cool, vibey (is that a real word?) wedding in a warehouse!

This little ringbearer, Dive, was adorable. He wouldn't pose in the bridal party photo, but when it was just me and him, he was a poser!!

Casey & Carmen - a rooftop wedding downtown Nashville

Our most recent engagement shoot was with this awesome couple - Britt & Allison. We did a downtown Nashville night-time shoot with them, and at the end they got a bit crazy with us! What troopers!

Ah, we love what we do :)

So things have been unbelievably busy this past bit! Jody and I have been meeting like crazy with some amazing clients and the hard work and new relationships formed have paid off! We have 21 weddings in the books for this year, and we’re not sure if we’ll be taking on too many more... unless we can’t resist some more amazing couples who may cross our paths!!

We are definitely enjoying this season of spending the time to get to know our brides and grooms, and of course hang out with each other and also getting to network with some other great photographers. Check out some of our friends whose work is incredible! Keoni K, Krystal Mann, & Evan Baines.

Speaking of photo friends, the other day I (Zach) went out with fellow photographer Krystal Mann (link above) and shot one of her brides in a Trash the Dress Session! The name "Trash the Dress" is quite harsh, but the idea is to do a shoot with a bride after the wedding in her dress - and it’s great because you can do anything anywhere and you don’t have to worry about getting the dress dirty because the wedding is over anyway… Some shoots are more extreme where a bride can be found in a lake in her dress or climbing a tree or wrestling a 400 pound gorilla (I've seen it!) – or you can have other photos like the ones taken below yesterday – a bride in the snow.

Enjoy a couple of the shots I grabbed here in the rare snow that got dumped on Nashville, TN.

Some behind-the-scenes-shots! This just goes to show how important it is to make sure you white balance your camera when taking photos and to actually use a good camera and lights!

Zach and I had a great Christmas spending time with his family in Wisconsin, and on our way back to stopped in Indiana to shoot a dear couple's wedding.

Below you will see photos of Nathan & Liz's wedding day, and these two are one of the most Godly couples that you will come across. It was amazing to hear their friends talk about them and their friendships and relationships... What a great life together they have set before them. We have been crazy with weddings, which I guess is a great thing, so here is one of the 6 weddings we shot recently. Congratulations to Steven & Christina Clawson!!!!
